The register
One face, seven weights, eight sizes. The house display system, with its rules and exceptions — published so they can be checked.
Weight comes in tiers, never a continuum
A rule this studio learned from cloth, not from software: in the kené textiles read for the Bittensor engagement, a line gets heavier in three or four fixed steps — each step a doubling, never a gradual thickening. The register works the same way. Raveo is a variable face that could render any of 800 weights; the house permits seven. Each row below is set at its own weight — the table is its own sample.
Eight sizes, each a formula
Eight display and reading sizes, each a clamp between a floor and a ceiling. A ninth token sets the small labels. The homepage subhead and product specimens have documented exceptions. Each line below is set at the size its formula names.
Raveo speaks. The mono labels.
Two voices, with a hard division of labour: the display face carries meaning and is allowed feeling; the system mono carries data and is not. A number, a serial, a date, a caption, a check — if it must be exact, it is mono. If it must be believed, it is Raveo. Neither does the other’s job.
The plan changed because you said your shoulder hurt.

Same words, same setting, forever
The same discipline that draws the site’s crests sets this specimen. Type anything: its weight, size and tracking are derived from the words themselves — the text is its own seed, hashed into the permitted tiers, never picked by mood. Retype it next year and the setting is identical.
The same seed also draws a crest — ------ — from the dot engine that stamps this site. Bittensor uses a separate line engine; the shared principle is deterministic output, not shared geometry. One input, one output, forever.
A specimen that only showed the rules would be a style guide — and nobody audits a style guide, which is why they quietly stop being true. This is the recorded August audit, not a live count. Seven weights carry two-thirds of the site’s type — 112 of 166 settings, counted; eighteen stragglers — one-off 480s, a lone 650, a 130 — are drift, on the ledger to be consolidated or promoted. When the count reaches seven, this paragraph gets shorter.
